Welcome our new Board of Directors of C.A.S.E.

On May 31, 2023 the Belgian registered non-profit organization CASE held its  Spring General Assembly including board elections. Their 2-years board term started on July 1, 2023.

The new BoD will be composed of the newly incoming CASE President Antje Abshoff and the Treasurer Marine L’Herrou.  The Vice President Luigi Mercuri had been reelected for a full term.

German national Antje had previously served as CASE Vice President and Treasurer and has been working in economic development and site selection for European companies for more than 20 years in the U.S. and in Europe.  She joined the Virginia Economic Development Partnership team in 2018 and is based in Munich, Germany and Richmond, Virginia.
In her role as Managing Director, International Business Investment, she manages Virginia’s international offices in Europe, Korea and Japan and advises international companies interested in expanding to the United States with regards to all questions related to site selection.

 

Our Vice President took over this role already in mid-term last year.  Italian-born Luigi supports the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) in Europe, Israel, and Turkey and serves as Managing Director of Investment. EDPNC NC has presences in Italy, Germany, and Switzerland. 
He is an experienced economic developer and in the cross-border investment arena for more than 10 years and has previously lived in the United States, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and South Korea.

 CASE’s new Treasurer is Marine, the Europe Director of Empire State Development (New York), joining in December 2019
She has also developed longstanding business relationships with renowned organizations and significant FDI projects for a multitude of clients in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Europe (mainly Southern Europe) and the UK.  Marine has extensive experience leading teams of Economic Development Associates on behalf of state and federal government clients in multiple sectors. She is fluent in French, English, Spanish and holds a degree (HSK5) in Chinese language, aka Mandarin.
