British Ventus Energy, an engineering specialist company within the German Topp Holdings, has started its US operations with the opening of two East Coast locations in Brooklyn, NY overlooking the South Brookly Marine Terminal – a strategic site for future projects plus being close to key clients. The other site in Virginia will also further support the offshore wind industry in the United States growing rapidly along the Atlantic coast.
Both new US operations are expected to create new jobs within the offshore wind industry, fostering this sustainable energy landscape and the regional economic growth.
Ventus Energy is a preferred supplier for onshore and subsea cable repair, specializes in high voltage services ranging from testing and termination, fault and emergency operations and maintenance to an overall electrical safety management. It has a proven track record in the renewables sector, with trusted skills and competencies.
Managing Director Lee Glendening said: “This expansion marks an exciting chapter for Ventus Energy. With our UK division growing significantly and high-profile projects emerging on the East Coast of America, establishing a permanent presence felt like the natural next step to better support our clients.
“Our new US offices enable us to meet the increasing demand for offshore wind services in these regions and this milestone reflects our commitment to helping achieve global renewable energy goals” seconds Klaus Duttine, Topp Holdings CEO & CFO, who will serve as vice president of Ventus US.
The New York City Economic Development Corporation assisted the European company, playing an instrumental role in securing these strategic premises of the Brooklyn location for Ventus Energy.
