Shell Catalysts & Technologies, a subsidiary of British SHELL PLC has completed a $121 million expansion at its Port Allen facility, now the world’s largest hydrotreating catalyst plant, adding to its title as the largest refining catalyst plant globally.
This expansion boosts manufacturing capacity by 15,000 tons annually and enhances Shell’s ability to meet growing demand for high-performance catalysts vital to cleaner fuels, sustainable aviation fuel, biofuels, medical devices, and more.
A special shoutout to Baton Rouge-based Turner Industries for their critical role in bringing this project to life.
