The battery joint venture represents a value of $1.9 b and is between US-American Accelera by Cummins, PACCAR and German Daimler Group, represented by its North American branch, is locating an advanced battery cell production in Mississippi.
The three JV Partners each own 30%, and jointly control the new company. EVE Energy will serve as the technology partner in the JV with 10% ownership. The joint venture aims to accelerate and localize battery cell production and the battery supply chain in the U.S., manufacturing battery cells for electric commercial vehicles and industrial applications.
This significant project will create 2,000 high-quality manufacturing jobs in the growing clean technology sector – and is the largest payroll commitment of the Mississippi Legislature in state’s history!

Mississippi Major Economic Impact Authority funds will be used to assist with infrastructure needs, site preparation and tax credits.
